1. Genetic Resources (GRs) and/or Traditional Knowledge (TK) Transfer Agreement (submitted along with an application form)

The above Agreement is concluded between the Provider (a legal entity or an individual of the Republic of Belarus) and the foreign User
The above Agreement must include GRs and/or TK transfer purposes, characteristics of the material subject to transfer, GRs and/or TK transfer terms, mutually agreed terms of the sharing of benefits arising from GRs and/or TK utilization between the Provider and the User.
3. A receipt or any other payment document confirming payment for the service

Where genetic resources are transferred outside the Republic of Belarus, additional permits (Article 14 of the Law “On Genetic Resources Management”) may be required, provided the object of transfer or the purpose of utilization falls within the scope of legislation on environmental protection. GRs that fall under this category:
Rare or protected species (an export permit issued by the Ministry of Nature; a list is available in the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus);
Genetically Modified Organisms (a special permit issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food);
Traditional knowledge associated with genetic resources (written consent of an individual or an association that is the holder of such knowledge).
– A permit for the removal of genetic resources from their habitat in accordance with legislation;
– Written consent of the holder of traditional knowledge associated with genetic resources.
5. Obtaining a permit from the Ministry of Nature

The Certificate is generated by the Clearing-House for the Nagoya Protocol on the basis of information provided by ABS NCC after obtaining a permit for providing access to genetic resources issued by the Ministry of Nature.
