Kunming Dialogue brings participants together to discuss implementation of the Global Framework

On September 7, 2026, in Kunming, China, opening of the Kunming Dialogue on the collective progress achieved in implementing the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework in support of the global review took place. Olga Malysheva, Head of the National Coordination Centre on Access to Genetic Resources & Benefit-Sharing, participates in the Dialogue.

The event follows the decision of the 16th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity and aims to facilitate the exchange of best practices, identify gaps and discuss potential solutions to implement the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.

During the three-day Dialogue, representatives of the Convention Parties, indigenous peoples and local communities, youth, women and other stakeholders discuss the scope and expected outcomes of the global review, as well as ways to address the identified gaps.
