On September 24, the Scientific Department of the Polesie State Radioecological Reserve held a workshop on the legal regulation of genetic resources management in the Republic of Belarus and scientific collaboration on the study and conservation of biological diversity.

• The specialists of the Institute of Genetics and Cytology, NAS of Belarus, informed the employees of the Reserve on the legal regulation of genetic resources management in the Republic of Belarus within the scope of the Law “On Genetic Resources Management” of March 5, 2025, No. 36-З.

• The perspectives of scientific collaboration on the study of the species diversity of wild plants using DNA barcoding and the identification of soil microbiota using state-of-the-art molecular genetic techniques were discussed.
